Join us on Sunday, August 25, 2013 for the Second Annual Theresa Lang Memorial 5K Run/Walk!

Enjoy the same scenic trails that Theresa loved in Joliet and Crest Hill.  All ages and fitness levels are welcome to this certified and time chipped event - bring your fighting spirit and winning smile with you! Race takes off from Cemeno's Pizza's south parking lot.

Course Information: The course utilizes the ChronoTrack timing system.  USATF Course Certification Number IL-12149-JW
 
Awards: All racers will receive a short sleeve Dry-Weave t-shirt. Awards will be presented to the overall male/female runners and top three male/female finishers in the following age Groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & over.
 
Split Times: Course clocks will be in place at mile markers 1, 2 and at the finish line.
 
Results: Results will be posted at the event. All results will be available on www.mychicagoathlete.com by 2:00 pm race day.
 
Packet Pick Up: Packet pickup will take place at TM Martial Arts, Saturday, August 24th from 1 - 4pm
 
NO BIKES OR SKATES are allowed for safety reasons

Parking: Parking for this event will be available in the north west lot of Cemeno's Pizza with an entrance at Essington Road. Please note that the south parking lot will not be available after 6:00 am.
 
Net Proceeds to Benefit the Wounded Warrior Project: The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. Their purpose is; to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.
 
About Theresa Lang: Theresa Lang first joined TM Martial Arts in 2006 with her first of many Self Defense courses. Theresa then joined in our Fitness program in March of 2007, later joining our Martial Arts program where she studied Combat Hapkido and Tae Kwon Do. Theresa found her calling with our JLFS kickboxing program where she attained First Degree Blackbelt in November 2011. Theresa was a well respected student and friend at TM Martial Arts who positively touched every life she met. She was an extremely skilled massage therapist and had a growing following in her own business with the TMMA Ultimate Spa. TM Martial Arts lost a skilled and accomplished friend with her passing in December of 2011. Those of us who were fortunate to know her in life remember her smile and fighting spirit. TM Martial Arts honors her memory with all net proceeds of this year’s race benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
