This event will be hosted by the Community Foundation of Grundy County and presented by Katheryn Wiedman, Centerpoint Institute & Board Source Certified Governance Trainer.  Refreshments will be provided.

Good non-profit governance includes an annual review of basic board responsibilities.  New board members need to know their duties and continuing members can use a refresher.  This session will briefly explore the 10 responsibilities of non-profit boards and most boards can improve their performance in at least two or three responsibilities.  In this session we will learn and share tips, which will open the door to conversations about the role of the board and lead to higher performance.

Appropriate for social service agencies, churches, government agencies, school boards, and other organizations who are governed by a board of directors and supported by donations &/or tax dollars.
