SWSPN Seminar on Philanthropy
This seminar will build on research data to explore how gender
matters in philanthropy. Highlights on motivations for giving, who
gives, household charitable decision making, and giving behavior by
gender will be shared.
Dr. Debra Mesch is Director of the Women's Philanthropy Institute at
the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and Professor
of Public and Nonprofit Management at Indiana University-Purdue University
Indianapolis. Dr. Mesch's research has focused on women's philanthropy,
issues of civic engagement, volunteer motivation and management,
executive compensation in nonprofits, human resource management in
nonprofits, diversity, and race and gender issues in giving & volunteering.
As Associate Director of the Women's Philanthropy Institute, Andrea Pactor
is responsible for program, curriculum, marketing, and operations. She
has organized national symposia on women and philanthropy, and co-
developed the first-ever online course about women and philanthropy.
$25 for Members, $50 Non-Menbers ($75 for attendance & membership)
