Salvation Army Disaster Services Class at We Care

INTRODUCTION TO THE SALVATION ARMY DISASTER COURSE ON SAFE FROM HARM:

This course is a comprehensive safety and abuse prevention program.  This is required for all of our disaster workers and volunteers.  A large focus is on training all staff and volunteers who work with children, youth, and vulnerable adults so that they understand the program.  There is more to the program than training!  Looking at how we may be working out at a disaster site to prevent accidents and opportunities for abuse; proper procedures when volunteering, planning activities minimize risks, and procedures to follow if you suspect abuse.

This training is for anyone 18 years or older and to register for a class, one must go to the National EDS website, and click on "create an account", click on "upcoming training", scroll down until you reach the State of Illinois, and then click "register" for the classes in Morris, IL.  You can call Erin Martin @ 309-655-1326 if you have any difficulty or questions.
