A roundtable discussion on mental health in the community will be presented by the Morris Rotary Club.
The participants in the panel come to us from three areas of the community: judicial, services, and support. They will give us a presentation about their role in involvement in community mental health. Afterward, we will take questions.
The participants are Judge Lance Peterson, advocating a judicial diversion program as an alternative for sentencing; Grundy County State’s Attorney Jason Helland, experienced in judicial diversion programs as member of Kankakee County State’s Attorney’s Office; Ginny Kelly, Vice President Planning and Development at Morris Hospital; Liz Thrun, Morris Hospital Social Service Worker; Michelle Briones, 2nd Vice-President of NAMI Will-Grundy County.
The roundtable will take place at 6 p.m. March 19 at Chapin's. The Rotarians encourage members of the public to attend and the event is free, but space is limited so guests are asked to call ahead to reserve their seat. Refreshments will be available.
To reserve a seat or for more information call Morris Rotary Club President John Carr at (815) 274-2131.
