This half-day seminar is designed to provide community based professionals with the latest information on the Illinois Compassionate Care Act, commonly known as the ILLINOIS MEDICAL MARIJUANA LAW. Topics include qualifications and restrictions on obtaining a medical marijuana identification card, impact on rental housing, employment, and special licenses. The seminar will also cover the extensive changes the law makes to Illinois DUI law and the impact on school policy and procedures for student and staff card holders. Compliance language will be recommended for schools, employers, and rental housing policy. A special focus will be placed on recognizing and documenting under the influence of marijuana and the impact of the law on the court system.
