This half-day seminar is designed for local police patrol officers with the latest information on the Illinois Compassionate Care Act, commonly known as the Illinois Medical Marijuana Law. Topics include qualifications and restrictions on obtaining a medical marijuana identification card, restrictions on sale, possession, transportation, and use. The seminar will also cover the extensive changes the law makes to Illinois DUI law and the elimination of chemical testing of suspected medical marijuana impaired drivers. A special focus will be placed on recognizing and documenting under the influence of marijuana and the impact of the law on the court system.
