Grundy County Farm Bureau in cooperation with the Kendall
County Farm Bureau has scheduled a "Master Grain Agreement"
program with former IAA Legal Counsel Jerry Quick. Quick work
extensively with legal matters relating to the grain industry in Illinois
and the ways that impact production agriculture. He also reviewed and
drafted many grain purchase and sale contracts and is also
co-author of the Illinois Grain code.
Since everything is getting complex, this session is designed to help
attendees understand what master Agreements are and what
additional responsibilities and obligations might be imposed on
the grain seller when these documents come into general use,
as well as educate attendees about the meaning and
ramifications of standard terms and conditions currently
in use in grain purchase contracts.
