Sponsored by Midwest Auto Service, the Lighted Holiday Parade returns to welcome Santa Claus back to Downtown Morris. Keep warm with hot apple cider, compliments of First Baptist Church, at 215 Liberty. The HFTH Parade Committee, led by Ken Buck, encourages the community to participate in the parade this year, making it even bigger and brighter than in years past. Anyone wishing to submit an entry may request an application by e-mailing mddp@downtownmorris.com, calling the MDDP office at 815-941-0245, or visiting their website at www.downtownmorris.com. Once again, entries will be judged and awarded trophies for the best use of lights and creativity. The deadline for applications is November 22nd. The parade will begin at the corner of Franklin and Washington Streets and continue north on Liberty, concluding at Chapin Park where the beautiful park will light up! While at the park, enjoy carols performed by the Coal City High School Madrigals in their traditional costumes.
