We will visit Illinois history with guided tours.

1. Carbon Hill School Museum to be brought back to the turn-of-the-century coal country.
2. Goose Lake Prairie for a breathtaking walk and a peek inside a replica pioneer cabin.
3. Gebhard Woods to learn about the management of the I&M Canal by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
4. Marseilles Hydroelectric Plant for a "behind the scenes" tour of this early electric plant.
5. Buffalo Rock State Park for panoramic views of the Illinois River and to see the corridor's largest frog and catfish.
6. Sulphur Springs Hotel for a stop at a hotel along the old stagecoach route and a view across the Grand Village of the Kaskaskia.
7. Illinois Waterway Center to witness the mighty waterway that replaced the I&M Canal.
8. Afterward, join the CCA for a cocktail party at the Lock 16 Center in downtown LaSalle celebrating the closing of the 30th Anniversary.
