Hiring Fair at Schneider's in Elwood

The hiring fair is June 5th from 5 pm to 9 pm and June 6th from 10 am to 2 pm.  Schneider's is located at 26453 Center Point Drive, Elwood, IL  60421.  They are  hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift for loaders and unloaders at our Elwood Facility.  Applicants apply online only at:  www.Schneiderjobs.com.  Select warehouse on the right side of the screen and then select search and apply for jobs.  Choose U.S. then look for Elwood, IL.

Qualifications:  Safety conscious  ~  Prior loading/unloading experience is preferred  ~  Has worked in elements (hot conditions, cold conditions)  ~  Physical labor background  ~  Basic math skills  ~  Good work ethic  ~  Flexible - not easily frustrated  ~  Flexible work schedule (long hours, weekends, days or nights, reliability) and will show up to work each day on time.

Brief Job Description:  Manually unloading containers that come in from port  ~  Sorting freight  ~  Scanning freight to and ensuring correct freight (Verifying)  ~  Loading containers  ~  Achieving productivity expectations  ~  May be lifting up to 80 lbs

2nd shift hours Monday thru Thursday  -  5 pm to 3:30 am or 7 pm to 5:30 am.  $11.50 per hour + $0.60 shift differential.

3rd shift hours Friday thru Sunday  -  6 am to 6:30 pm or 7 am to 7.30 pm.  $11.50 per hour + $1.55 shift differential.

If selected, all candidates, before being hired must pass an interview, pallet simulation, hair follicle drug screen, criminal background check and pre-work screen.
