Grundy County Farm Bureau Hosts Annual Blood Drive

Every safety measure is taken to make sure the donation is safe for the donor and the blood recipient.  An eligible donor is capable of donating blood 2-4 times a year.  Donating is an easy five step process, starting with registration followed by a medical interview.  Prior to donating blood, a mini physical is performed where a technician will take your temperature, pulse, blood pressure and take a drop of blood from your finger to test your iron levels.  Once you have been cleared, you are then able to donate approximately one pint of blood followed with refreshments and relaxing.
