FESTIVAL OF TREES

The Grundy County Historical Society is holding our annual Festival of Trees Event again this year. This is our major fundraiser of the year. It will take place on Friday, November 23rd from Noon to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 24th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Museum.

There will be a wonderful array of trees, wreaths, centerpieces, and other holiday decor for silent auction bidding. Tree themes with a white sox tree, a princess tree, a Gingerbread Tree and Pieces of the Heart quilt guild have a tree with handmade decorations. We will again have a ‘surprise’ Winter Scene Display for auction, also.

Special raffles will include a 32” SMART TV donated by Century 21 Coleman-Hornsby and a beautiful Holiday Table Service donated by Lawrence Advertising. An additional special raffle will be a Coach Handbag donated by the FOT DIVAS. The Museum will also offer a piece of history in the shape of a juror chair from the courthouse so you can bid on a piece of history. There will also be more raffle items (to be announced later) and door prizes as well.

This is such a fun time and a great event to bring your friends and family to. It really gets those holiday spirits going. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.
