Coal City Face-Off Pond Hockey Tournament

The Village of Coal City's Park Board is sponsoring their
first "Coal City Face-Off" Pond Hockey Tournament.

Limited to 10 teams, the first face-off, which will launch the puck into
play, will be January 11th at 6PM at Lion's Park in Coal City.  The
competition starts with a round robin to determine the
placement for the playoff brackets.  Play continues on
January 12th starting at 11 AM and the single elimination tournament
begins at 2 PM.  Each team is guaranteed 3 games.  The entry
fee is $250 per team and registration forms can be obtained on
the Village of Coal City's website - www.coalcity-il.com or at
the Village Hall, 515 S. Broadway, Coal City.

Concessions, food and beverages, will be available at the Lion's
Club with all proceeds going to benefit the city parks.  "D"
Construction will sponsor the warm up tent for the players.
With the purchase of a new rink this year, the park board is
looking forward to some cold weather and lots of fun.
