The Canal Corridor Association invites you to a unique tour in the I&M Canal National Heritage Corridor.  A private property owner along the Mazon Creek in Goose Lake has agreed to host a tour of the world-famous fossil beds located in the creek as a benefit for the Canal Corridor Association.  The tour is limited to 40 people The tour location is 70 miles from the Chicago Loop, 3 miles Southeast of Morris.  Details will be provided upon reservation.  All proceeds help preserve the I&M Canal history, protect its environment, and create tourism.

The adventure begins with a hayride to the original site of the discoveries along the Mazon Creek as it was in the mid-1800's and the opportunity to collect ferns and horsetails, etc.  Bring a bucket, rock hammer, shoes to wear in the creek, and casual clothing.
