2nd Annual Grundy County 8th Grade Career Expo

Businesses, big and small, are invited to participate and present their business to our 8th graders.  In 2015 over 1,000 Grundy and Seneca 8th graders were exposed to businesses in and around Grundy County.  This year, in addition to inviting all Grundy County 8th graders, we have invited Seneca, Dwight, and Channahon schools to attend with their 8th graders.  We certainly hope area businesses will join in this exciting initiative to introduce our students to the wonderful professional opportunities in and around Grundy County.

Presenters will be given an assigned booth within the District 101 Rec. Center or a designated, outdoor space, depending on specific needs.  Once participation has been confirmed, further communication will follow in order to determine space and material needs.  We will also happily assist in offering tips and strategies for a successful presentation experience.

Our goal is to not only introduce students to the wealth of career opportunities in and around Grundy County, but to also help steer their educational paths as they enter high school and beyond.  It is never too early for students to begin planning their future professional paths.
